About the Algarve
Join us in the Algarve! Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the Southern region of Portugal, you will experience the natural beauty of endless beaches embraced by towering red cliffs.
Carvoeiro is a picturesque and traditional Portuguese town that is peaceful and welcoming. Carvoeiro has an idyllic setting with its soft golden sandy beach that is considered to be the most beautiful of the region as well as its boardwalk that offers a leisurely route.
Where we're staying
RETREAT DATES: SEPTEMBER 14-21, 2024
We will stay at a private resort in the Algarve (Carvoeiro, Portugal) with apartment-style accommodations, a heated outdoor pool & jacuzzi, and a covered yoga pavilion.
During your free time relax by the pool on a sun lounger to read your favorite book, take a stroll to one of the many beaches in the area or try the cuisine at a local restaurant for lunch.
Each apartment is equipped with air-conditioning, towels, bed linen, bath soap, shampoo, conditions, body lotion, pool towels, a tv (international channels), a safety deposit box, and wifi internet.
The nearest restaurants and small shops are within 1 km. You'll find that the beaches in the area are 1-4 km from our location.

About the meals
Breakfast buffets & dinners are prepared with fresh healthy ingredients by our local chefs. If you have any dietary concerns please let us know when making your reservation.
Getting there
To fly to Portugal we recommend taking an overnight flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Faro (FAO) one day prior to the retreat. Depending on the airline and travel dates you may have 1 stopover.
From Faro airport, a ground transfer will take you to the venue (60 km) distance.

Currency
Portugal uses the euro (EUR) currency. Notes come in seven different denominations: 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 euros. There are eight coins: 2 and 1 euros, and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, 1 cents.
Many places will accept major credit cards.
Electricity
Electricity In Portugal the power plugs and sockets are of type F. The standard voltage is 230 V. Please bring your own adapters & converters for electronics, hair styling devices, or any other necessities to make your stay more comfortable.

Liz and Jasna are the co-owners of Drishti Yoga & Wellness where they teach a variety of yoga classes along with their fellow teachers.
Their passion for yoga and community inspires them to create thoughtful and luxurious yoga retreats in beautiful destinations. An unforgettable and magical week of reconnecting with the innermost part of you.
Liz and Jasna are honoured to have Rosie back as their guest teacher and facilitate this Yoga Retreat. Rosie is a yoga teacher based in London, U.K. She has been teaching group and individual classes both in London and abroad.
Rosie is a warm and engaging teacher who encourages all individuals to work within their own bodies and not against them. She creates an experience that feels inclusive, healing and soulful for all.
