Costa Rica is without a doubt an amazing country to see many species of birds, a variety of animals, and plants. The country has many different eco-systems from tropical rainforests, mountains, mangrove swamps to its coastal beaches. Their are many rivers to take riverboat cruises, mountainous regions, and national parks to spots birds, sloths, monkeys & crocodiles. As nature is unpredictable we can never guarantee what you will see, when or where. Sloths can be found in a few areas such as Manuel Antonio National Park but usually high in the trees, Osa Peninsula area or in sanctuaries. Our crocodiles are in many of our rivers with a high population in Rio Tarcoles. Out of our 4 species of monkeys you will probably see the most common capuchin (white faced) in local areas or national parks. Every region in Costa Rica is unique having different wildlife encounters depending on the season and possibly the time of day.
