Best time to visit
There really is no bad time to visit. During January to May is the warm season with daytime temperatures of 30 Celsius (80F). The seas are warm & calm. During June to December is the cool season with daytime temperatures of 24 Celsius (75F). The water is rougher during the months of July to September but you can still swim or snorkel but may require a wetsuit.
Visit the Galapagos National Park or the Charles Darwin Research Center, see the giant tortoises. This island is the busiest.
San Cristobal is the oldest & fifth largest island in the Galapagos, but certainly the most popular. Here you can spend time visiting the Capital or go for a hike or bike ride. Kicker Rock is the place for you to snorkel and spot sea turtles and Manta Rays.
This is the largest island which cover an area of 4,600 square kilometres. Take some time to visit Sierra Negra Volcano which is 3,687 ft (1124m), see the amazing wildlife animals such as the Galapagos penguins, sea lions, Manta Rays & giant tortoises.
