Vacation like no other at Universal Studios
Your family will love what Universal Studios has done with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Our Wizards Guide of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley can help make the most of your family’s next vacation. Both theme parks will make your feel apart of Hogwarts with Harry and the gang. The buildings are a true masterpiece and will give you that awe feeling as soon as you step inside the gates.
You can make Universal Studios a day tour for your family or comeback for a second day of adventures. We suggest to get up early to be the crowd and stroll through the village of Hogsmeade. Inside the dark castle corridors you will see all the pictures hanging on the walls just like in the movies. Get a glimpse of Dumbledore’s office which Harry spent many hours in learning from the wizarding master on your castle tour.
Our travel tip: stay at one of the on-site hotels and receive a free perk to enter the park 1 hour early.
Island of Adventure Park has two different rides: the Dragon Challenge and Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey which both are a lot of fun. Get here early or plan to wait in line with the other muggles.
If you like roller coasters hop on the Dragon Challenge and sore through the sky. For this fantastic ride we did have to stand in line like other muggles and wait our turn. Try another thrill seeking ride like the action packed Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts located in Universal Studios.
Head over to the Three Broomsticks for some tasty Butterbeer or try a pint of Pumpkin Juice at Hog’s Head. We had to try them all. You only live once! You can have your Butterbeer in a souvenir cup to take home as we did. Try not to over indulge on the Butterbeer as tempting as it is. The sweetness and hot weather don’t mix quite so well in your stomach. Call it a lesson from potions class. The day we arrived it was super hot so make sure you lather up with plenty of sunscreen and drink lots of water.

Shop at one of your favorite stores like Ollivanders. They have many character wands to choose from. We purchased ours here and each chose a different character wand from the movie. The cost for a wand was $29.95.
You will find lots of treasures at the Owl’s Post. Here we had fun searching through the store and picked up some post cards. I love how all the people are dressed in character. It almost makes you want to put on your cape & grab your wand. We were just mesmerized by the window displays.
The popular chocolate frogs
Make sure to try a tasty Chocolate frog from Honeydukes. We had to eat it quickly as the day was so hot the delicious chocolate was melting in our hands. The box you can use as a keepsake and contains a collectable wizard card.
If you purchase a park to park admission you can hop on the Hogwarts Express train at King’s Cross Station in Universal Studios.
